I'm still waiting on my pixel 9 fold from the pre order on the 15th of August

have a look at the thread that is running on the issue, as by the sounds of it you will be given misleading information by the Customer Services Team, even the Social Team haven't been much help to other customers
There is a lot more sense in that thread...
