Pay and go account balance transfer

Anonymous

Hi everyone

I hope someone from o2 will actually read it slight_smile

I just recently thought that it would be great if we could tranfer some of our account balance on pay and go to other accounts, either ours or someone else's, cause I don't spend all my money but still top-up every month so it could be great if I could give it to someone, like one of my friends, who need it more.

Thanks

Nice idea.

Presently if a person moves credit from one Payg account to another the first account ends. 😞

I can't see O2 going for this but not a bad idea

True.

There's nothing stopping a person from buying a till voucher and passing it on.

I have my partners and children's mobile numbers in my online banking app ,which allows me to top up their phones.

It's easily done at most cash points as well now

Some people top up and get an allowance included for topping up and then don't actually use the money building up in their account.

So I think this would be a great idea although I agree it is unlikely o2 will go for it as it is more work for them and effectively less revenue.

Money accrued that way isn't actually yours either, it's only "virtual" credit to use on your phone. Reasoning been is that it's already paid for the allowance so in effect if you could transfer it somewhere else O2 would be giving you free allowances.
