OFCOM Shows Its Teeth

Anonymous
Not applicable
Following a review last year, OFCOM found that many users especially in rural areas were unable to even make calls and texts.

Vodafone covered 82% of landmass.
O2 and EE 78%

So OFCOM has now changed the licences to ensure that by 2017 90% of UK landmass will have at least a 2g network for calls and texts compared with an 80% requirement now.

(Note this should not be confused with the 98% of population o2 must provide with good indoor and outdoor coverage of all three networks 2g 3g and 4g by 2017 - that is about population, this new change is about landmass).

A lost sheep @MI5 ??

You are obviously a City lad through and through.....

I'm always having to phone the Farmer who owns the field behind us due to his sheep breaking through the fence.....

We even had cows stampeding down the street recently - damaged no end of cars on the way !!

Nice to know you lot with your 4g o2 signal or 4g EE signal find the lack of even the most basic signal so funny.

Remember that when the milk had sold out but the farmer can't phone to notify anyone.

Or the air ambulance can't find you as you slipped in the middle of Dartmoor.

Or you can't log on to faceache 24 hours a day whilst on holiday to Cornwall

I will answer this

Tesco's always have milk

You shouldn't walk on Dartmoor if you keep falling over

No FB whilst in Cornwall...oh what a shame...

lots of sheep around where I am - the word Skipton comes from 2 old words meaning sheep & town  unfortunately numbers are dwindling, due to lots of sheepshagging by the local gypsies

Yeah, I noticed she said "gypsies" too but thought I'd keep quiet about it
