No Stock of Broadband Routers for new Customers!

I can't believe that o2 PROMISED me that if I switched my broadband supplier (BT) to o2 I'd be much better off....I explained to the sales guy that I work as a self employed web designer/developer and that I couldn't survive with an internet connection at home. I told him I don't care that I pay £33 + VAT per month with BT as it works and it serves it purpose. The sales guy and his MANAGER pestered me so much that I gave in and took out o2 Broadband.
I had loads of text messages/emails and calls tell me my connection date etc..! So...Oct 1st was my connection date...did I ever get my Wireless Router..NO....Today is the 6th Oct...and now I'm told o2 have none until the 11th Oct 2010!!!
So anyone deciding to take out o2 Broadband....DON'T!!!! I have today made an appointment with a No Win No Fee Solicitors Firm who are more then willing to take on this case and sue 02.

You might have been better to post this in the Home Broadband section, where there are O2 staff who may be able to help.
Why didn't you get one in the shop?

You want to be here:

You could get one from the shop and send it back when the other one turns up, and you would be working now.
I must say the chances of a successful court action for something so minor are zero.

Couldn't agree more.
I quite agree with the OP-use your own router either for good or until O2 get more routers in. To be honest I use Netgear and it's better than O2's-no offence O2 but Thomson routers are rubbish.
