Thank you for these details, they were extremely useful.

Okay, so i have added these two APNs and they show up okay.. Only the first one has a green dot next to it though, why is this? Does it chose one automatically? I cant seem to select both or even change which one has a green dot next to it. When using the internet it does so using GPRS. Phone is the N1.

Thanks.

Mine's the same.

A green dot next to mobileweb - but it uses the web fine, and is 3g (I get a 3G indicator on the top of the screen)

Only issue I have is with MMS - it won't send the message - the little red clock icon stays next to it permanently and it never gets sent.

I had that problem, I deleted and re-entered the settings for MMS and it now seems to work.

The MMS settings I have configured on my N1 are:

Name: O2 MMS
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
Proxy: http://wap.o2.co.uk
Port: 9201
Username: o2wap
Password: password
Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
APN type: mms

(Updated to include MMS proxy)

Tried. Thanks for the advice, but still the same red clock icon.

Do you have anything in the MMS Proxy box?

I suspect this is an o2 issues, as they've messed up with MMS for ages now.

You're right, my mistake. It's 193.113.200.195. I've updated my earlier post.

This is driving me insane,
Tried these settings but just cant get Picture messages to download.

When i get a picture message, I get a button to click to download.
But it fails every time.

"Download of(subject)from(contact)was unsuccessful"

Have re-entered the settings a million times, and tried a couple of variants I've found on the net to no avail

Everything else on the phone works perfectly.

Getting very frustrated.

Not working for me either.. Do you have to put in the MMS settings? I don't care about MMS so haven't configured it. The web works but only ever connects with GPRS and really slow at that..

Btw, I have O2 Simplicity 20
