If so, whilst you can buy a third party app to turn your handset into a wi-fi hotspot of sorts, its more usual to connect your handset to the laptop using a cable or bluetooth. Use the supplied software to make the connection.

What is the 3rd party App which gets this working again, I need it to get more than one device working through the web, which is why the bluetooth and direct alternative isn't going to work for me, I need the router option, please post link to site. Many thanks.

Just got mine, same disappointment... but (and this is only a guess) you might find downloading and installing the latest ROM from the HTC site will rid the phone of all O2ness... make sure you back it up 1st tho. I might give it a go, but I'm going to have to take a brave pill first...
Morning, did running the patches bring this option back in settings?
Apparently there is a third party app that does the same thing, if anyone locates this software, please post link - ta.
