3G is being turned off in more and more places, so O2 PAYG is only good for data in such places, as O2 PAYG gets no 5G, no 4G Calling (Volte/WiFi calling either)…

USA, Germany, Italy, Greece and more – all off the menu for voice calls now for O2’s Roaming PAYG customers! And O2's preferred roaming partner in some places are difficult to latch onto, and some phones won't drop to 2G for SMS, and, and, and ...

Better get used to WhatsApp or similar PDQ.
