LG Optimus 3D...

Now that the CFW is offering pre-orders on this device, but only for Vodafone;
are O2 likely to pull their finger out some time soon and offer a similar opportunity?
Their projected date is an optimistic 27th June (two weeks earlier than expected) - this info is accurate as of the last hour.

Yup, it arrived on Monday as expected. I moved from having a Crapberry and the difference is like night and day. It go a bit of a bad rap for it's weight, but seriously..... it isn't that heavy.
The 3D takes some getting used to and although allot of people negatively call it a fad/gimmick I quite like it and everyone that has seen it so far has been fascinated by it.
The phone as you know can turn off this feature allowing it to run in full 2D mode so even if you don't use the 3D most of the time, it is still an excellent fast handset.
I certainly don't regret getting it. I got it through a 3rd party vendor, so the phone is not branded or locked in anyway and the second updates arrive I can get them without O2 spending month in testing. (I have had a minor update so far)

Doesnt sound like youre too excited about the phone wink
I had a try of one yesterday in my local Tesco Mobile store and I wasnt really that impressed. Having owned a Nintendo 3DS I was interested in seeing what a 3D mobile could do with a higher resolution camera but the result is a bit... fuzzy.
The screen looks fine in 3D mode (although its nowhere near as nice as the Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation or iPhone 4) but as soon as the 3D is turned on things just go all blurry - and no its not the way I was holding it.
The HTC EVO3D has a higher resolution qHD screen so id expect the 3D to look better on that device.

It is strange you should say that because I don't find the 3D fuzzy at all. However many reports about the EVO3D say that the 3D is worse and offers a much more limited viewing area.
Plus with the tri-band architecture the phone is pretty damn fast, even before over-clocking.
I love this phone now that I am getting used to the Android OS and wouldn't want to exchange it for anything. If I had the choice to swap t for an EVO3D I would certainly decline... it is not getting the most favourable reviews at the moment.
The Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation & iPhone 4 don't do 3D. Which is what I was after.
