Iphone 3G signal problems

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi everyone
I have currently been having some issues with my iphone 3gs
the problem i am experiencing is my 3g signal, or lack of.

when i enable 3g my phone loses all network coverage, no phone calls, texts or internet. every now and again it will show up with a full 5 bars of service but still wont connect phone calls, texts or internet.

I can solve this issue by disabling 3g then the phone works fine appart from the lack of 3g coverage, but whats the point in having an iphone without 3g?

after a phone call with o2's iphone team, they told me that there was 3g problems in my area recently. Would this affect my network signal? and if so would it be so dramatical?

thanks

That would be the fact that o2 2g network is not over subscribed.

Hi Has anyone had any updates on this issue?   I have a 3GS and have had the same problem, ie, as soon as I switch on 3G I lose all signal and the status says "searching".

I have replaced the O2 sim card but still the same problem.   I am on simplicity contract.
