I’m a technophobe looking to buy an iPad

I need help choosing an I pad. I don’t want the latest technology just something to watch a movie on or FaceTime my kids. Read or listen to books. Play a couple of games. Check my banking and emails.

You can save £200 pounds and buy an Amazon Fire Tablet, which will let you read and listen to books and view Videos, however it wont let you do Facetime, but you can use Teams or Whatsapp to do video calls.

Thank you for that. I already do have an Amazon fire tablet. It just always seems to be a bit glitchy if I’m

doing anything else rather than reading.

Not sure how old your Fire tablet is @LisaDavis5?

My husband bought one 2 months ago and he is amazed at it.

Prior to this he had a very expensive Sony Tablet which was great at first but as it got old it was slow and glitchy.

Bottom line though, it's entirely up to you and your bank balance. 😉

Hi. I have my fire tablet a little over a year now. Bought brand new from

amazon. But I am going on a plane so I don’t think it will work very well.

The Amazon Fire tablet works abroad. Anywhere where you can find WiFi.

We used ours in our apartment in Spain. We had Wifi.
