Or use live chat.

I wasn't aware you could disable it?

Mind you, when I was on PAYG the balance notification was a lifeline to me.It gave me fair warning of when I

would need to top up....and also kept the 'brake' on me making too many long winded calls!

(Therefore, I would never have attempted to disable it) Smiley Very Happy

I agree @Cleoriff for lots of users it can be really helpful in the ways you state.

For me as I send multiple texts the notification was interrupting the sending procedure as it wanted to alert me every time my phone sent one of the multiple texts 😞

When I phoned to ask if it could be turned off the agent said they get quite a few of these requests.

Never thought of that sort of inconvenience BoB. As you know when I post any sort of response, it is only from

my personal perspective and I quite missed the balance notification when I moved to Contract:smileywink:

It's good that O2 can cater for users needs in some cases ,and modify an account to suite individuals wants and needs.

It would be easier to make it user selectable from either in My O2 or from a shortcode like VM is though.....

If memory serves me right, going way back there was an option at one time to deselect balance notifications on my old Nokias which were locked to O2. But agreed, there should be a way for the consumer to turn on/off without the need to call customer service.

As it crops up many times on here maybe @Toby could suggest it to the team....?
