Solved: How can I do a bold font on an iPad

As the title says really, how can I do bold text in these forums using an iPad?

Hi guys,

Just to update on this.

After speaking to Lithium, it appears that the mobile/tablet/desktop view is available on a device-by-device basis. Some are able to be programmed to cater to the desktop version of the community and some are not. This can also apply to certain generations of the same device.

I intend to submit an idea on the lithium dev site to see if we can get this sorted for those of you who cannot use the desktop view on your tablet.

I seem to remember people saying you don't get the rich text format options on iOS ?

That's the problem. There isn't a B above the text box on an iPad - there's just a text box. Eek.

Looks like the way to do bold text on an iPad is to use a desktop browser

@Toby - Do you know a different way?

we used to have it but there were issues and we lost rich text and the quote option on ios devices.

@Toby can this be revisited the quote funcionality is sorely missed

If you're on iOS7, go to: settings > general > accessibility > bold text
