There should be no problem if you are in range to get good download speeds.im not to reliant on o2 hotshots, I much prefer the cloud .

Each hotspot is configurable to shape traffic accessing it, and additionally O2 hotpots are often partially managed and installed by the venue where they are located eg McDonalds. I think the only way to know would be to speedtest.net whilst connected to the hotspot then try Netflix to see if the raw speed is being throttled for data heavy traffic like Netflix.

So far myself haven't used the hotspots, but as long they are supervised and managed it should be OK...!
Woulden't be great if the whole of the UK was covered by Hotspots...!
