@Cleoriff Yes that's the Rotherham one, its massive, and others compaines there too from what I understand.
@jonsie Do you know, I've not spoke to the Leeds call centre in ages, so I'm not sure.
I now general get through to either Rotherham or SA
Maybe @Anonymous can let us know just how many uk call centres are left?

These are the uk ones, I can't find any info on the South African or Indian ones though.
Preston Brook one runs Tesco Mobile as well

Rotherham one, as well as O2 also has British Gas, William Hill amd RSPCA on the same estate, all run by Capita. Rotherham one used to have Orange, but doesnt i think now and EE and T-mobile is based out of Leeds Valley Park, which is different to where the o2 one is based in leeds

Leeds one

Glasgow one is the new media head quater for o2 as per Capita website

Bury one (Which does Tescos Mobile too from the info)

Hi guys (and gals! ). None of the call centres mentioned has been closed. Just some of the services moved around that's all. Some are more customer support than others, if that makes sense....before the departments used to be based in one place only or a two, depending on what it was ( contract customer services was a bit everywhere, Glasgow, Preston brook, dearn valley, leeds) now it's different. Dearn valley is probably the one that has the biggest variety...contract, retention, pay and go,business, social media, outbound....,but all the other ones are still open just with different departments...

Reading all the above ...it must have been Dearn Valley that dealt with my change of tariff...The advisor said it was near Rotherham.... Well done them..(again)

I do. Her name was Marie. I started a thread on here that day congratulating her and O2 for employing her.:smileywink:
Toby picked up on it and said he would let her know ...not sure if he did though...?
No problem if you want to tell her though. (You can never have enough praise in my opinion)

"Lack of training in most cases coupled with low wages". Isn't that exactly the problem with overseas call centres? Skill and patience only go so far if your training is sub-standard in the first place.
Also a total lack of consumer law is quite often evident, which is totally irritating and you end up banging your head against a proverbial brick wall.
I called O2 this evening to complain about something and the first 2 calls were answered by the SA centre; as soon as they heard i was complaining they hung up. Call #3 was answered by the Yorkshire centre. I'd spent 25 minutes on hold until then.
