I've been a long term O2 customer now for years and never really had a problem until the last 5 or 6 months.
Generally 4g/5g strength and speed is fine everywhere (York, Durham, The Lakes, up a mountain) except in Newcastle city centre.
It never used to be a problem even in the football ground you could always get 4g or drop to 3g, but now its basically 3 or 4 bars but ZERO data. The phone is basically useless anywhere in the city centre even on non-match days.
We have 3 iPhone 12s on our account and all are exactly the same.
As soon as we leave Newcastle, and I mean just walk over the damn bridge then the data returns.
Switch off, reboot etc. none of that works.
I appreciate Newcastle can be a busy place but come on O2 what is the problem.
Its now a standing joke in the town and bars that you have to find someone with a non O2 phone to get a signal.
