What is it and how is it relevant to getting a new mobile phone

I want to upgrade to a Blackberry and one has 3G whereas the other 2 dont

Would you get the phone with 3G?

Slowest is gprs (2g)
Then Edge (2G)
Them 3g (3G)
Then HSDPA (3G)

Just to eleborate on this

GPRS = 2G (up to 40kbps)
Edge = 2.5G (up to 100kbps)
3G = 3G (up to 384kbps)
HSDPA = 3.5G (up to 3.6mbps with O2 technology)

This is best as i can remember

Yep that's basically it.
Web pages will load faster, pictures will send faster ect
