118500 Calls

Help please!

I'm a 'pay monthly' Iphone user and have just been whacked by what seem to me exhorbitant charges for 2 x 118500 calls. Made them both on 27th Feb immediately after each other. First lasted just over 2min and second lasted just over 1min. Obviously not 'inclusive' calls but £5.85 and £3 respectively is a complete rip-off as far as I am concerned. I thought the standard cost of one of these calls was about 50p (as long as you didnt let the 118500 team connect you).

Anybody else got stung this way and what response from our friends at O2 did you get if/when you queried the costs?

Interesting to note that Vodafone yesterday announced price increases for "out of bundle"charges which include increasing the cost of SOME Directory Service enquiries to £5 ( from £2.50 & £3.75 respectively).

No change in contract costs though. Note to self o2.
