After 4 months of no problems with my new iphone 5 and happily sending text messages, I noted a very large bill. When I investigated it, I found that text messages were being converted to picture messages which are NOT covered by my tarriff. O2 said it was because I had either input a something like a smiley face/symmbol or the text message has gone over one standard text message. I am fuming that I am now paying for a bolt on that legally I should not be (in my view). None of my text messages had symbols and yes most probably did go over one standard amount of characters, but it was still a TEXT message not a picture message which arent free on my tarrif. Why should I be paying for something that I shouldnt be. Sooooooo cross. Has anyone else encountered this problem.
