buying a sim card for an i pad

I am thinking of buying an i pad and dont know anything about them, other than I tried my mates the other day and thought it was great.

I would use the i pad at home where I have broadband, but we do go away in the caravan a lot so obviously some of the places we go I can not connect to broadband as we are usualy in the middle of a field.

So can I buy a sim card for just a month while we are away? If I can is there a certain i pad I need to buy.

Sorry I am so thick but the wrong side of 50 and find it all quite daunting

Of course if you have an iPhone on a pay monthly tariff you do not need a 3G enabled iPad or pay for a monthly contract for the iPad. Just set the personal hotspot up on the phone and tether the iPad to the phone as and when you need to.
