We want to UNLOCK IPHONE 5!!!!

Anonymous

I am not coming here to ask any question about how or when to unlock Iphone5, it is already 6 month since Iphone 5 was released. And it is the only smart phone cannot unlock at this time. It is not happy as a customer of O2, we want to unlock it, and I believe if there is enough customer complain it to O2, they will do something, maybe. I have done that. Come on guys, If you are a Iphone5 user, please complain it, maybe call them or email them. I feel so upset, Iphone5 still cannot be unlocked!!

You're welcome.  I posted as soon as I found out, which was about 25mins after it got announced!

If I bought my iPhone 5 locked from eBay and it was initially purchased with a pay monthly plan and I have pay as you go, will O2 unlock it?

You have to have been on pay as you go for 12 months or more for them to unlock it

I have been on pay as you go for over 12 months but my partner has only been with O2 on pay as you go for 6 months. Can I unlock my iPhone and his using my number or it's one unlock per phone number?

The iPhone is exempt from the 12 month rule (apparently) so I would go ahead and submit the unlock form but make sure you have at least £15 credit on your phone to pay for it.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Iphones for some reason have always been exempt for the 12 month P&G rule.
