I have an iPhone 4s I have on my plan 1gb of data and have never gone over this in over a year everytime I use Facebook recently it swallows my data I have had to buy 600mb bolt on in three days and I'm only browsing news feeds for a few minutes at a time any ideas??

Although you do need to reset the statistics at your anniversary date For your allowances.
If you have wifi at home try turning off 'mobile data' in the phones settings to stop it flicking from wifi to data which happens to save battery power.
Obviously remember to re enable it when leaving wifi range.

The auto play of video is definitely an issue but can be turned off.
Facebook also uses around 6% of my battery too.

Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box and providing a way to let them check if something else is using the data via the inbuilt data counter.
anyway keys not hijack the thread with this.
