By 'eck this unlock thing is a joke!
Tried to get the Mrs iphone unlocked 3 times now!!
Long story short... I originally bought the phone off a mate as he'd come out of contract on it; I used it for a bit and then gave it to the wife. She's been using it for around 8 months on O2 (few years old pay monthly contract) no probs.
O2 say the phone doesn't belong to her account?? This phone's IMEI number is registered on her account (when you go into your phone bit in your account) but they say it isn't.
Is it so difficult???
WTF are O2 on about?

Good Morning,
For some reason it sounds like the iPhone is not latched to the account.
Ring 02 Customer Services on 202 to ask them to latch the two together.
Do not use Live Chat for this.
Once they confirm this has been done then re fill out the unlocking request form.
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
Another option is to get a payg 02 sim and put enough credit on it to make a few chargeable calls and £15 for the fee, and then request the unlock that way to use the iphone on another network other than 02. Just an idea.
