I smashed my iPhone 7 screen and made a claim on the insurance, they have gave me a 5-7days timescale is this normally how long it takes? in the past i have had a like for like repleacement.
I asked for a courtesy phone i was told to go my local o2 and deposit (refundable) £25.00 but my 3 local stores have none in stock.
Any ideas if it will take as long as 7 days,
also thye do not guarantee me getting a black one again, whats the chances of them sending another colour (really just dont want red)
TIA

Well no actually I didnt know that the replacement of broken screens meant you were given a refurb. Hence the reason I asked the question !!
"We replace your broken screen' doesn't normally equate to 'we give you a second hand/refurb phone'....

Yes most people wouldn't know. I only learned that from here but most customers wouldn't read the small print though possibly they would before making a claim..... or not in this case.

I just suspect that the headline...'We replace your broken screen' is the one that grabs attention (as it did for me) I honestly never realised there was a 'but' attached to it....

I do know about refurbs being offered whether it's with Apple Care or any other insurance. Some people do get a brand new replacement phone.... depending on circumstances.
My only gripe about this particular issue was O2 have made a big promotional selling point about replacing broken screens on some flagship devices. When actually DON'T replace your broken screen...they give you a refurb instead.... I don't think new buyers understand that concept. ..That's it, let's just put it to bed now...
