O2 Recycle - Does chipping / scratching count as damage

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi Guys,

If I were to put my iPhone 6 into o2 recycle, there are lots of scratches (no smashes) to the screen and lots of chips to the back (even though it's always in a case).

Is this the sort of damage I have to declare on the o2 refresh form? As the closest I can find talks about more severe damage than I think mine has...

Many thanks! slight_smile

@Anonymous  The cosmetic appearance of the phone will affect what you are offered for it. From experience of past posts on the forum, O2 Recycle does not pay very well. You might want to try a few of the other recycle sites, like CEX. I sold a phone to them a while ago and got a decent price for it.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

O2 recycle ....you get an offer on what you put on the form....it may be different when they receive the phone and have chance to examine it...

Currently they are offering £135 on the 16gb model. If honest I would be surprised if you get that..though as said.....you don't have to accept the offer and can try elsewhere

£135 is the price for a mint condition phone.
If it's scratched the offer will be vastly reduced.

Which is why I said 'I doubt you will get that' . With the experience we have of O2 recycle I dont think the OP will get whatever is offered online.
