My iPhone goes directly to voice mail when anyone tries to call me.  What setting do I change to allow me to answer my calls?

First off, try cleaning the sim card. Check your postcode for local faults : O2 Status

Try disabling voicemail by dialling 1760 (1750 turns it back on).

Have a look here : How to Lengthen Ringtime on any O2 Mobile - O2 Community

Anyone having problems in the area with their O2 phone that you know of?

A soft reset of the phone or reset network settings may also help.

Press and hold the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears and the phone will reboot.

Settings>general>nework>reset network settings
