Massively late text delivery

I am not receiving texts on time, some come in on time but some are as late as 12 or more hours. This hasn't been happening long about a week or more.

But at present due to family matters I really need to get this resolved ASAP.

Please help.

I went to O2 shop and got a new SIM card but the problem has continued 😔. Tried online chat with O2 and just got repeatedly "well it's ok from our end!!" Ironically, I had been trying to log onto here, forgot my log on details and was waiting for a text from O2 with an access code. Whilst in the middle of my live chat it came through 25m late - the exact problem I was complaining of! Now at point of switching networks as just can't continue with this problem.

Yes I'm on iOS 7.1.1 on carrier 16.0 on the iPhone 5 s as you know with no issues.

I buy my iPhones direct from Apple. I wonder if iPhones supplied by O2 have something different. (Wild guess and thinking outside the box)

As a process of elimination I would visit the O2 shop and get a sim adapter. Use that to make your nano sim fit another make of phone and see if the delays remain the same.

@adamtemp64 to be honest it was a push ,but it's all I can think of if the network is showing good that their may have been some difference in internal settings between getting the iPhone from O2 and getting it direct from Apple.

Let's see if trying the sim in a non iPhone shows any difference if that is convenient for the OP.
