Where did you get the iPhone from ?

If from 02 then it's locked to 02 ,and can be unlocked using this form.

Cool.

Once you receive confirmation from 02 via text/e mail ,have your alternative network sim ready.

Hook up to iTunes and this will unlock the iPhone.

Also if it was from Carphone Warehouse then it would have locked to the network of the first SIM inserted.

Unlocking should be as BOB's post above though I have seen posts which suggest CPW should be the unlocking agent.

Sent from my Z10

Edit: ignore that then posts crossed

Hi Aldaweb.

I read that too so I asked that very question and this is the answer I received from the unlocking department.

Pay Monthly Iphone
If the phone has not yet been used on the O2 network, it cannot be unlocked by O2

If the customer is using an iPhone purchased from O2, Apple, CPW for use on O2: yes.

Devices purchased from Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tesco or any foreign networks will not be unlocked.

The Phone must be activated on iTunes, non-activated iPhones cannot be unlocked

The Iphone will be unlocked FOC
