Iphone not sending messages to one contact

Anonymous
Not applicable

Well here's the backstory

Had my iphone 3GS for about a year now (on a two year contract)

Never had any real problems with it.

Had to get my sim card replaced recently, so I've got one of these new micro sims from O2 (like the micro sim stuck in the big sim, so it fits my iphone)

I got this replaced this past wednesday.

However thursday evening my phone started playing up

It doesn't seem to be sending messages to one of my contacts

I can still recieve messages from that person, however when I try to reply to them my phone says it has sent the message

However they don't recieve the message

I'm not sure who's problem it might be (I did initally have a problem with regaining network connection on wednesday, until by pure luck I connected my iphone to my laptop and it reactivated...)

But has anyone got any ideas here?

Would reseting my network settings on my phone do anything?

(To clarify, my friend is on a different network, however my phone still sends messages to other contacts on the same network which is odd)

It is a samsung phone that she's using

However I can still call her, if I was added to her block list, surely I wouldn't be able to call her...

No you can block messages independently of calls. I'm afraid it sounds like you are blocked in the settings. There should be a list of blocked numbers in the message settings, don't look in call settings. The fact that it is confirmed as a Samsung means I'm 99% sure that is the problem.

Haha okay
She seemed kinda skeptical about the fact that you could block calls and messages independently and wasn't too sure whether her phone could do it
I'll take a look at it when I see her tomorrow and then update if necessary slight_smile

It's called adding to spam list in the message settings. Once the number has been added to the spam list they go into a different mailbox. You can still see them by selecting Menu >Spam messages but you don't get any notification that they are there - Just the same as your spam folder in your email account.
