Iphone 3gs sim

My Iphone is curretly locked to o2 by it's imei number however it doesnt recognise my o2 sim.

Does your sim work in another phone? What is the error message you get? Are you sure the phone hasn't been blocked and is definitely locked to O2.

You could call customer service or use webchat to check the status of the phone by giving them the IMEI number.

A little bit more info is needed such as where you purchased the phone, from a friend or relative or online.

My sim works in other phones other o2 sims do not work. I did a carrier check on the imei locked to o2 still active. However it reads when the sim is taken out however when put back in says no service. The phone was purchased off ebay.

Sounds like an imei bar has been placed on the iphone i.e. insurance claim etc we see this too often on here

Refer back to seller! Happens many times with ebay purchases.
