Help with new iPhone 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm really stuck now and I don't know what to do. I just tried upgrading to the new iOS and now my phone won't work.

There was an issue which means my phone needed to be restored. Fine, I tried that but at the end of the restoration process when iTunes tries tp verify hte iPhone, it says it cannot complete the process due to not being able to recognise the phone at all.

What can I do?

Only problem with this is that when I hopd the wake button, nothing happens. the only thing the phone is showing me, is what it shows when you first take it out of the box. Its not responding to anything.

You could try putting the iphone into recovery mode and restoring it. It's fairly simple to do before visiting the store.

^^^^ I've done this twice, and at the end of each process iTunes tells me it cannot 'find' my phone and is unable to continue.

in that case definitly make a genius appointment at your local apple store you will walk in & out within 10 minutes with a brand new shiny working handset

you could but with apple you will get top quality customer service & walk out with a new phone, o2 would send it off to their repair centre, you wont get a new phone, 02 only replace handsets after 3 repairs

It's worth a trip and hopefully they can help.

If they want to send it for repair, personally I would decline and wait for the Apple appointment.

But I don't understand why they would need to send it away - this happened to my old iphone 4, and I restored it myself - surely they can reset it?
