Dodgy upgrade call?!

Anonymous
Not applicable

I just got a call from an unknown number supposedly from o2 saying i'm due for an upgrade

It sounded a bit dodgy, and they had no idea that i'd just received an upgrade!

Thought i'd ask to find out if o2 actually conduct these calls. I've been a customer for over 5 years and never had this before...

Cheers

I would never upgrade through a cold call.

Do that online or via the o2 high street shop.

O2 do allow certain partners access to perform upgrades.

If it was a genuine call it would have displayed a number - It is something that is required by the regulator for all UK companies.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Agree with Bob. NEVER upgrade via cold call.

Always be the leader and call the companies you want to consider dealing with.
