Whatsapp Chat History

Hi

Recently upgraded from S8 to S22. Whatsapp chat history, although backed up did not come across to new file. Does anyone know if its possible to fix? I've read various articles about the message crypt files and possibly transferring them over, not sure how to do this? Every time I try backups it defaults to google drive rather than local.

Well I have used backup to Google drive before and it worked fine.

The files will be backed up to a cloud which is more secure than local storage. And therefore it is probably more flexible way to do it.
