Sony xperia T - Wi-Fi

Anonymous
Not applicable

For some reason, my Wi-Fi is insanely poor.

My mother can get perfectly fine access using a G+MIMO USB pen downstairs and my girlfriend gets Wi-Fi outside the house on both her Iphone 4s AND a 7 year old netbook.

However, I move 3 feet away from the router/modem and I drop to 2 bars wi-fi signal.

I go downstairs and I get no signal at all.

I looked up the tech specs for this device (Sony xperia T) and it is supposed to support g/b/n signals however it feels like i'm using a wi-fi adapter from the 90's....

Known issue. Phone needs wifi bug fix.... I'd contact Sony directly to see if they have rolled out a fix yet.

As mentioned this is a known bug with the Sony ICS firmware, however I'm pretty sure the Xperia T runs JellyBean which you would have hoped they had ironed out.

Looks like they haven't

 I have the 9.1.A.1.140 software.

I've been over to the sony forums, just waiting on some sort of reply over there.

That's the JB 4.12 firmware so should be OK. Have you tried a firmware recovery?

You won't get nothing from the Sony forums, That's just a unmonitored sounding board for frustrated customers like yourself.

you can try their live chat but I've not had much luck with them myself but at least you might get an excuse.
