You all know that the Sony’s new premier phone the Xperia Z2 is coming to O2 soon, with an exclusive Purple variant only on O2!

We all remember those iconic phone in the water pictures from the Z1, now Sony has done it again! That's right, it can float.

Are you thinking about getting one? Looks pretty cool, here are some key features-

I am also in the same boat I even have one on preorder with vodaphone because o2 have been so slow on the uptake here. Same thing happened when the first lot of htc1 x came out. The coming soon thing is useless. Also registered my interest but no updates at all. Come o2 not good enough !

The launch date has been delayed until 1st May due to a third party component manufacturing issue.

Agree good find but I have also read preorders are still due for April release so where does this leave o2 have they missed the boat and can't do preorder now till may ?

Just pre-ordered the phone!  

Spoke to someone in a store yesterday who confirmed they are not allowed to sell the handset until 1st May, so I'm assuming that the pre-orders will be out to people around about then also.

Also got to see a Dummy handset yesterday (not a live model), but it is a nice phone - not too weighty, and doesn't feel overly huge in your hands.  I'm excited now!!

I'm a returning customer to O2 and must say I've been pretty disappointed by their handling of the Z2. I was going to preorder with Vodafone but was assured by Live Chat that they would have it first but lo and behold my nephew has it already in his hands on Vodafone! I've already had 5 different dates from Live Chat ranging from the 21st of April until the 16th of May. No one seems to have a clue!

I was on live chat tonight and they assured me that they are sending them out from tomorrow and that I will have mine sometime next week so I will keep my fingers crossed.
To be fair with them they have always stated availability on their website as from week commenting 28th April.

It would be nice  to know what's going on, particularly when it comes to the delivery date. I probably won't be at the address I gave when I ordered it on the day it will be delivered but if I had SOME idea  of when it was coming I'd be more able to lock-down my movements. I could be at any one of four or five places at any  point in the week. I am worried I will miss the delivery as it's set to go to my home address and that's the one place I know I will NOT be now this week.

I'm not impressed with being left in the dark. I paid my money but can't get an answer as to when I'll get the phone. "Some time this week probably" is simply not good enough when it comes to arranging for someone to be home to sign for it.
