Some sites must be over 18

Hi

Some sites I go to are asking me to sign up and register to access the site, it's an 02 message to restrict to over 18. Obviously I want to access any site I want to  without silly payments.

Secondly - I am doing some work on the net and have my own site but when I check it on my mobile it is giving me this over 18 requirement. Why would a site that has nothing malign on it have an over 18 flag?

Cheers

A

Ok fair enough. We have had instances where advertisements for betting sites triggered the adult content rating. Hopefully @Toby can get you some feedback on this.

People (or bots) can crawl the web looking for stuff considered adult. I used to run a DIY site containing instructions to repair an air pistol. Some prude tried to add it to the list.
If your news site has been set to adult it probably contains a naughty word in the eyes of some self appointed guardian. Can't appeal if you don't know the reg body who did it.
