I recently renewed my o2 contract but kept my Gallaxy S. I received a new sim which I registered to keep the same number. Information stated that the old sim would just stop working and I should put the new one in. Yesterday, the old sim stopped working but I didn't realise until today. I put the new sim in tonight and there is no Data network available. So ... I am unable to use my phone. Can anyone help, please.

I've got the same problem - upgraded my phone and had to get a new micro sim card which has to be activated before it will work. I submitted the activation request 22 hours ago and it still hasn't been done. Checked with O2 who said, sorry but it can take up to 24 hours!
Why. In this day and age this is absolute rubbish.
