Samsung S3 file names

Another dumb ass question! How can you change the file name of a video, which you have recorded using the phone? They seem to be given a number which consists of the date, and then six digits. Is there a way to rename them on the phone please?

Use the file manager app. Select it, then menu, rename.

many thanks for that. Do you mean the app called 'My Files'? I can see that it can be done from there, because I have just changed the name of a picture. Trouble is, once I go into 'My Files', I cannot find any videos. There is a folder called 'Video', but that is empty. There is another one called 'Videos', and that is also empty. However, when I open video player, I have at least 30 videos.
