Hi,
can anyone explain why O2 charges a fiver per month for the airtime plan for a Samsung Galaxy smartwatch 4G, when other carriers offer it for free and just allow you to share the phone airtime? Is it just a nice little earner for O2, and/or some technical reason?
I have probably answered my own question but would interested in other's thoughts....
Cheers, John

Both o2 and Vodafone charge extra for all smartwatches as they use the network infrastructure and use a MSISDN number and use data...
BT(EE) take on that cost but charge more for the watch.. so swings and roundabouts
