Good news! The wait time is almost over for Samsung Galaxy SIII users. From tomorrow, 19th October '12, you'll be be able to upgrade to the much awaited 4.1 Jelly Bean update over Wi-Fi or via Kies.
If you have activated the 'auto-update' feature from out of box, you will be prompted to download the 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Not necessarily true. As I explained earlier, I pre-ordered my S3 direct from o2 but I don't have their custom, branded firmware. My S3 has the unlocked, international software and, therefore, isn't covered under o2's software rollout.

Yep, sorry mat, as MI5 says, that's Samsung's own firmware, not o2's so you won't be getting the update just yet. Unless you want to attempt to flash it yourself using Odin, you've got to wait until Samsung release it themselves, hopefully won't be too much longer.

im fed up of waiting... ill quite happily flash it now i downloaded Odin, but cant get the phone into download mode (volume down key and power button) doesnt work other than turn phone off or change volume... help me please?!
