Samsung Galaxy Ace.

Can anyone help me.  Have tried to send text today and make phone calls from my mobile phone.  Nothing is happening and only just noticed it says emergency calls on my phone.  I am at home and signal is good.  Monthly contract and all bills paid and up to date.

can anyone help please?.

Have you tried turning your mobile off and back on again?
My mother also has a Galaxy Ace, on O2 PAYG, and was having signal issues (Emergency calls only) despite having at least two bars - she said it had been like this all day.

We turned the phone off, removed the SIM card, replaced it and once we had booted the phone back up the problem was resolved!

ring customer services, if you can't ring 202 on your phone, call 0800 2300202 from a Landline.

Thank you but have already tried to call them, no joy at this time of evening.

Sounds like this could be a sim issue - try removing it and giving it a wipe. If that doesn't work pop in to your local o2 store and get a replacement.

The other possibility is the handset - if the sim doesn't solve the problem you could try a factory reset.

Let us know how you get on, and welcome to the community slight_smile

Also check your postcode here for any service issues http://status.o2.co.uk/
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
