RE Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini-Freezing

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi peoples,

Ive got the above mobile and on a regular basis the phone freezes for a while before going back to the home screen. Not major but annoying to say the least!! Any ideas out there? Got the latest android installed and only have downloaded the usual few apps eg FB Ebay Amazon etc.

Cheers

First thing to try is clearing the cache.

When the phone is off, hold down the home, volume up key and the on button until you get the splash screen and then release.

You should get the android robot and then the root menu.

Using the volume button scroll down to clear partition cache and activate by pressing the on button.

Once the cache is cleared it should automatically go to the reboot on the menu. Again action this by pressing the on button. Your phone will then reboot.

If this doesn't solve the problem, come back and let us know and we can take you through further options. You might also want to uninstall Facebook and rinstall it.

Another way to clear the cache is to go to Settings>Storage & wait for the device to read what storage is being used by each part of the device. A green bar titled cache should be there, if you tap on this bar a message will appear asking if you want to delete the cache. This is on 4.1+ android versions and can be safer than accessing the recovery mode which can perform factory resets if not used correctly.

Never seen it either... You can show cached processes, but that's not the same thing as cached files.....?
