Provided network unlock code not working on Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.1.2

Hi.

I'm having trouble with the provided network unlock code. Its not working for Samsung Galaxy S2.

I was wondering is it because of the Android 4.1.2 upgrade? Could that be interfering with the code?

Hi MI5.

Just had a livechat with an O2 guru. She's requested another one for so we'll see how that goes.

Her reason for it not working though didn't feel right that I entered it twice and the code was locked, not the phone or sim but the code.

Hi

Have you entered the code correctly?

Please remember you only have ten attempts I think.

If the code is still not working, please contact O2 via phone, do not use live chat.

It does not matter what firmware you are on, the unlock code is linked to the phones IMEI. How are you entering the code?

Hi.

Thank you for the replies.

adriannadavy: Yes, I entered the code in correctly. I've contacted O2. They said thats the code they always use so they don't know why its not working, told me to book an appointment with an O2 guru but don't have the time yet.

MI5: I put the non-O2 sim in. Turn it on and the unlock code box appears. I enter the 8 digit code provided by O2 into the box. Tells me the code was unsuccessful.

I was thinking it was the firmware update interfering since thats the only thing that changed during the time I had the phone.

This is worrying as the code is unique to each phone, so I'm not sure how they can give you "the same caode they always use".

You are sure you have correctly requested a phone unlock code?

If the code provided by live chat guru won't work, contact CS by phone
