Problem receiving texts from iPhone

Anonymous

I've upgraded from iPhone 4S to Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and am having trouble receiving texts from my iPhone friends. I've turned iMessage off on old iPhone and iPad but iPhone users get a message fail error and are asked if they want to send it by text. Any thoughts please?

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I've just spoken to someone at O2 on live chat and their advice was to get my friends to change their tariff to an unlimited text tariff. Clearly they didn't understand me. They have however confirmed that my account is not showing as iPhone.

Yes Live Chat can be a bit hit and miss.

Have the people who are getting failed messages checked everything at their end ?

You could really do with speaking to o2 on 202 to ensure your account is provisioned Ok.

Hi.

You could try soft resetting your phone.

However their should be no issues really receiving texts from an iPhone.

Check your Apn settings too.

Have you asked o2 customer services to check your account and reset it.

202 contract.

They will check your not on an iPhone plan as you have moved to a different mobile.

If they are busy try live chat.
