Not seeing emojis correctly

Hi everyone hope you can help whenever anyone sends me emojis to my phone they only come up as question marks or square boxes have I got something set up wrong I'm using an s5 on lollipop any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not an android expert I'm afraid , but it sounds like you may have something missing that allows your phone to "read" the emojis properly. Unfortunately I have absolutely no clue what it is so will tag the android army to see what they say...

They probably wont be the same if they aren't being sent from another android phone?

It's usually incompatibility between devices sending them I'm afraid. I can post an emotional on here from my note 4 and it will not show....For example 😤

Showed for me....but am on my laptop

I cant see anything, not even a box

Shows ok on my tablet and phone but if I go to a PC it won't show 😨😨😨😨😨😨
