I am using a Galaxy Ace 2 with the "Jelly Bean" upgrade but most of the time if I try to go on the Net I get repeated "retry" or "connection" messages - not good when paying for net.

Are you using mobile data or wifi?
What signal do you receive on the phone, G, E 3G, H etc ?

What version of jellybean?

There has been an issue with 4.1.2 in the past not connecting via GPRS/edge

Thought there was a fix patched out though.

You can get Internet on gprs / edge? Not here you can't. All you will get is "the page cannot be displayed" or "the proxy server cannot connect to the Internet". I am on 4.3 on an S4

I can get it. You just have to accept its slow.

Sometimes because of this some websites will time out.

Fact of life with O2 unfortunately.
