Mobile Data - on or off?

Anonymous
Not applicable

So ive just downloaded an "upgrade" on my Samsung S2 and its changed some of the settings.  Before I could sit on a train and receive Whatspp messages or Skype messages.  Im not receiving these now and my friend tells me to turn my Mobile Data on but she said I would be charged for this and use data - which of course I don't want to do as I would leave this on all day!  So now Im confused!

If you have an inclusive data allowance you should see no difference by switching mobiloe data back on.

You must of had data on before so why would you get charged for it now?

You will only be charged for data once your allowance has been used up - if you weren't using all your allowance before the upgrade there's no reason why you should now

It only uses data when actually doing something on the network not just by having it switched on and o2 don't charge you if you go over your allowance they just slow you down
