Is it possible to download and use the Viber app on a Samsung Tocco Lite S5230?

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to download and use the Viber app on a Samsung Tocco Lite S5230 mobile?

Has anyone done this and used Viber successfully on that phone or not? Are there any settings that I need to know for this phone to use Viber?

If not, does the Samsung Galaxy Pocket work with the Viber app instead? Are there any settings that I need to know for this phone to use Viber?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply MI5; much appreciated.

Will try that tip given about scannning for networks to see what happens.

Yes, in response to your last question, the card is seen and picked up by the phone, but how do I use it to move things across to etc?

Would I have to connect the phone to my PC via USB so that the card is seen as a drive, and then I can drag and drop?

I have never used a memory card in a phone before, so am learning.

Thanks.

If you want to copy files to the SD card from your PC then yes, your method above is the easiest way. To see what is on the card now you can look in the app on your phone called "My Files" which will list all the files and directories present. If there are photos on the card they should be visible in the Gallery app and any music files should be seen by the Music Player app also.

Thanks again MI5; much apppreciated.

On another note, my contacts have no longer showing in my phonebook?

The contacts list is showing "search contact" and no contact is/are being displayed?

I have read that I need to press the contacts button and then press menu, but I don't see the meny button when I press contacts?

Please advise - thanks.

The menu key is the "hidden" softkey at the bottom left of the phone. Are your contacts backed up tp Google?

Thanks again MI5.........as far as I know they are not on Google yet. They are on the SIM card itself as I saved them there via my old phone.

How can I access these contacts again, and not only that, how to access tthe "hidden" softkey at the bottom left of the phone?

Please help - what do I do next?

Thanks...........much appreciated.

Open the contacts app and just touch bottom left of the phone (it will be shown in the manual), Once the menu opens up choose Import/export option and import all your contacts from your SIM.

Wow MI5 - fast work indeed.

Done exactly as you've described as you said. I have now also exported all of the contacts onto my SD card, so am very happy about that.

It worked flawlessly, so a huge thanks for saving my bacon.   :manvery-happy:

One more thing; I will need to get the manual as well, but can you please tell me how to increase the timeout for the phone lock as I find that it locks very quickly and I keep on having to put my password in to unlock it every so often.

How can I also save my contacts to Google please?

Thanks again..............very, very much appreciated.

As long as you sign in to your Google account on your phone, go into settings and accounts and enable contact sync in the Google account tab, the rest will be automatic
