Internet Banking SMS not being received

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

In September I went to the US for three weeks and took my sim card out as I was using a Three sim. Came back and reinserted my o2 [pay monthly] sim and all seemed fine.

I then realise that I've not been receiving my usual daily Lloyds Bank sms updates. [I am receiving my HSBC upates and all other text messages].

Called Lloyds and then say that they are being rejected and to contact o2.

Contacted o2 - kept asking me to enter this

**5005*7672*+447802092035#

Did it several times but kept getting "connection problem or invalid mmi code" Gave up after a while. They said they'd reset my text message service and all should be well in 2-24 hours.

Any idea why the error code appeared?

Thanks

Alun

cs were assuming your message centre number was wrong, which it clearly isn't.
If you have tugo installed try logging out and turning it off to see if the texts are restored.

Yes that is to change the message centre number but I don't know why they advised this as the number is read from the sim card. As above, it's almost certainly a TU problem.

Hi

Don't have TUGO installed [never have].

Why would I get an error though when using the code?

It's a quirk of tugo, but if you don't have it, it must be something else account based.
I'd call cs again.
