HTC One X + dead!

Anonymous

My HTC One X + recently ran out of battery power and switched off, ever since then it won't charge - I've used 3 different chargers just in case - and won't switch on. Any ideas? I've had the phone with O2 since Feb, will this be covered by HTC warranty?

Hi,

HTC will cover their products for a period of 12 months I would have thought.

02's Repair services have had nighmare stories so I would suggest you deal with HTC directly.

You could try a factory reset:

  1. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
  2. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
  3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

This will wipe everything from the phone so hopefully you have everything backed up. However this info would be lost anyway by sending the phone for repair.
