HTC One X Jelly Bean update - any news

Any idea when the HTC Jelly Bean update will be released for the One X?

I understand the forthcoming HTC One X+, listed as an October release on coming soon, will come with Jelly Bean already installed, does this mean other HTC Handsets should get the update a bit quicker, as I assume all the "testing" that O2 normally do on updates will already have been carried out for the new handset.

The whole thing is a joke. I have no idea why everyone at o2 is lying to us, just be honest...its not ready. Done.

so still no update and still no definitive statement that it is available

the language used in Leonard's posts is telling, I have added emphasis to these quotes

"The phase is controlled and automated by hTC directly, so we can't do much or give you an exact date/time, but it should be there soon."

"I can understand it's frustrating, but all we can do is wait until the software update is available."

This phasing pi$h is just another O2 smokescreen, from these phrases it sound like it isn't out there yet but no-one wants to be the one that tells us that

I think next month my direct debit might be paid in phases, the money will be there but I won't be able to control when it gets paid

Hi guys,

As I mentioned before: HTC controls how the roll-out is phased and the update will be there as soon as possible, so everyone should be getting it over the next few days, if not straight away. That's exactly what I meant, so I'm sorry if I worded that poorly before.

As you all know, it's NYE tonight and that's always one of the busiest nights in terms of mobile traffic. I can imagine that with little staff around and such a busy night, they might choose to wait until at least tomorrow. However, I don't have any official confirmation on that.

As I said, as soon as I have more official information, I will let you know.

All we want is straight answers.

Have O2 released the update to HTC servers?

If so, we can direct our queries at HTC. The constant poorly-veiled "dodge the question" replies from O2 are what's getting everyone's backs up. Feel free to check my Twitter account for the dialogue I have had with O2 (in amongst the football tweets). I want simple yes or no, black and white answers. I get grey at best

Like caley85 said, I don't believe its even released and all O2 are doing is hiding behind a "released in batches" smoke screen. Maybe any future tweets should be tagged so everyone can follow the farce lol #followthefarce

Hi Leonard,

The HTC UK twitter account says the network are responsible, and O2 say it's HTC, the majority of us aren't angry we haven't got jellybean its the lack of information that is getting everyone's back up. I appreciate your only relaying what your being told but for a communications company this simply isn't good enough. At this rate this will be my last HTC device and also the last year I'm with O2, everything is all smoke and mirrors with this, but at least I'll be free of it all.
